Happy adoption stories
Many of our adopters, volunteers, donors and friends send us stories and photos of the animals who give them so much joy. We dedicate this space to all of you whose lives have been changed by animals.

Dapper and Lily
Dapper is incredibly outgoing, and was incredibly clingy with me when he arrived. He's definitely a mama's boy! He likes to snuggle into me at night, and trills when he wants something and asks that I follow him to his food bowl, and he loves being petted while he eats purring very loudly. He's incredibly loving and affectionate with me, but a bit standoffish with others. He trills and meows like a distinctive meow-quack, and he'll follow me around the house having conversations with me!
We got Lily about three days later, and when I saw her the day we got Dapper, when I closed her room door, I could see her little face look a bit sad! Even though we took Dapper home, we couldn't stop thinking about Lily!
Lily was a little shy, but she wanted all of Dappers things (he was a little reluctant but didn't retaliate) and she quickly broke out of her shell. She does zoomies around the house and likes to snuggle on her own terms. She's incredibly affectionate, but she likes to initiate! Her meow is the cutest! It's kind of like a squeak and a meow combined! When she runs, she kind of hops like a bunny rabbit and she has the sweetest little face!
Together, these two compliment each other and it feels like we've had them longer than a couple of weeks!
Thank you again SPCA Hamilton!!!! 💓
