Leave a gift in your Will
A gift in your Will to SPCA will give generations of animals a brighter future.
Why leave a gift to SPCA?
For 150 years, SPCA has been putting animals first. Our vision is that all animal lives matter in our communities.
Each year SPCA helps protect over 30,000 animals in New Zealand. With less than 8% Government funding, the main reason we are able to accomplish this is because of the incredible compassion and generosity of those thoughtful animal lovers who have already taken the step of including a precious gift to SPCA in their Will. We simply would not be able to care for the many animals who desperately need us if it were not for the caring commitment of our kind supporters.
Leaving a gift to SPCA in your Will is fitting way to celebrate the unconditional love and companionship animals have brought you during your lifetime. By doing so you will be contributing to the vital work that must be done to protect animals from cruelty. It is the ultimate tribute to the animals you’ve loved and will have an immeasurable impact on the lives of vulnerable animals in need. More than that, you’ll be harnessing your deep love for animals to create a brighter future we all want - one in which no animal experiences cruelty, abuse or neglect.

“For me, leaving a legacy to SPCA is a no-brainer. If a cat needs a home and a person needs a cat, where else would you go, other than SPCA? To me it is part of the social contract that if you domesticate an animal, you owe it a good life in return.”
“Volunteering at my local Centre and op shop were the happiest days of my life’. Animals have always brought such joy into my life, and I just want to be able to give something back, to help animals long after I have passed”
“My favourite part is helping an animal recover from an illness and grow into their best selves, and then seeing them be adopted into a loving forever home. After 25 years of being involved, I still get a real feeling of joy each time I see an animal that I’ve helped go to their loving new home”
“I want to leave something behind for the animals. I know that if I leave it to SPCA, then all the animals that come along after I’ve gone will benefit from that. It’s knowing that I can do something to help, even when I’m no longer here…I know I’ll be helping them.”
