Making a difference in Westport
Volunteer with usThe SPCA Centre in Westport (previously SPCA Buller) has a tight-knit team who work mainly with cats and kittens.
Dogs and puppies tend to go to Greymouth or other SPCA Centres to be cared for, and we conduct most of our animal adoptions from there.
We also have a wonderful op shop on the main street, to raise funds for animals in SPCA care.

Found Animals
If you have found a sick or injured animal, contact us immediately on 03 789 7520.
If you have found a roaming or dangerous dog, please call the Buller District Council on 03 788 9111.
If the animal is healthy and not in danger, please click here to see how you can help.
Lost Animals
We list every incoming stray animal on www.animalregister.co.nz so please check the listings to see if we might have your missing pet.
If your animal is not listed, we have some tips on how to find your pet on our Advice & Welfare section.
