Congratulations to our SPCA Pets of the Year!

Our Pets of the Year calendar competition has now wrapped up, and our new cover stars have been chosen!

Get ready to experience another year full of adorable faces from animals across Aotearoa.

This delightful collection features over 130 picture-perfect pets from around the country who won the hearts and support of countless people.

The competition put the voting power in the hands of the public, with a peer-to-peer fundraising approach which saw people getting behind the pets they know and love.

Every dollar raised from the competition and the sales of the calendars goes directly towards helping the abused, neglected and abandoned animals in our care across the country.

We at SPCA have been absolutely blown away by the support of voters this year. Thanks to the efforts of our picture perfect pets, we have had our biggest year yet and raised over $117,000 towards providing essential care, veterinary services, and life-changing programs for animals in need.

With so many incredible entries this year, the public had the difficult choice of casting their votes and selecting the winners across three different calendar categories – Cats, Dogs, and Other Animals. We’re excited to share these winners and cover stars with you now!

Last year's winner Deli Department is back on the cover again, with a new recruit in tow named Hurricane Pooty! These two raised a whopping $5,298 for SPCA animals in need!

Baxter's mission in life is to spread love and light wherever it's needed! A busy lad, Baxter runs a blog about pet-friendly holiday homes and healthcare, and is the Happiness Officer at Marram Community Trust.

The coolest and cheekiest rabbit from our Nelson Centre, this little guy is now living the dream in his loving forever home.
