Our SPCA Op Shops are delighted to offer you a convenient solution if you're looking to donate furniture and large household items that you no longer need, currently available in selected regions. Our team provides free pick-up services, ensuring that your generous donations are removed without the hassle of hiring trailers or relying on borrowed vans to transport these bulky items yourself.

• Auckland: We offer pick-up services extending as far north as the Hibiscus Coast, as far west as Kumeu, as far east as Beachlands, and as far south as Pukekohe. Our South/East Auckland team operates Monday to Saturday, and our Central//West/North team operates Tuesday to Saturday.

• Waikato: We offer pick-up services across Central Hamilton, Morrinsville, Cambridge and Te Awamutu. Our team operates Monday to Friday only.

• Tauranga: We offer pick-up services to most Tauranga city areas, Mt Maunganui and Papamoa Beach. Our dedicated team member operates Thursday each week, but can sometimes consider other days of the week depending on volunteer support.

• Christchurch: We offer pick-up services across all of Christchurch, including Kaiapoi, Rangiora and Amberley. Our team operates Monday to Saturday only.

• Dunedin: We offer pick-up services across all of Dunedin, including Mosgiel, Waitati and the Peninsula. Our team operates Tuesday to Saturday only.

• Rotorua: We offer pick-up services within Rotorua only. Our team operates on Tuesday to Saturday, but occasionally can be less depending volunteer support.

• Whangarei: We offer pick-up services across Whangarei and Kamo. Our team operates Wednesday to Friday only.

What items do you accept?

All items must be in good, clean ready to sell condition; please kindly check your items have no stains, marks, are broken or missing pieces. All regions happily accept a wide range of furniture and bulky household items, including beds, drawers, shelves, cupboards, bedside tables, dining tables, chairs, coffee tables, couches or suites, sofa beds, ottomans, desks, outdoor furniture etc.

In Auckland, Waikato, Christchurch & Dunedin, we also accept electrical items that are safe and in good working condition, including Smart TVs with remote, fridges, freezers, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers etc.

Piano's are accepted within the Christchurch region only.

Don't hesitate to call our friendly team to check if you're unsure about a specific item, they're ready to offer advice over the phone or you can email us a photo in advance for early assessment. Additionally, our truck/van team are happy to assess items upon arrival to inform you of their suitability for sale in our Op Shops.

Can you collect on the same day I call?

While we aim to accommodate a donation pick-up as promptly as possible, our schedule can get quite busy. Typically, it make take a few days or up to a week in busy periods. However simply give us a call and our team will provide you with the most up-to-date timings in the current schedule.

Can you pick up in areas outside of the regions mentioned above?

While we would love to extend our reach to all areas of New Zealand, our current capability is limited to regions where we have dedicated truck or van vehicles available. At the moment, this only available within Auckland, Waikato, Tauranga, Christchurch, Dunedin and Rotorua – however we're actively seeking viable ways to add more location options in the future.
