Happy adoption stories
Many of our adopters, volunteers, donors and friends send us stories and photos of the animals who give them so much joy. We dedicate this space to all of you whose lives have been changed by animals.

Lexie
I can still remember the moment at the Dunedin Centre when the big orange Garfield-esque cat that I wanted to love me, gave me a tough response.
My wife took the chance to weigh in and said "What about that one?" Pointing to a tiny shy cat in the corner. "I like her!"
To say we have had a lovely life with Lexie is a huge understatement. She has been loved and loved us back the whole time, well at least from a week after she moved in with us, when we managed to coax her out from under the bed.
Adopting a cat is the most amazing thing. If you are thinking about it at all, then I recommend taking the plunge.
