Happy adoption stories
Many of our adopters, volunteers, donors and friends send us stories and photos of the animals who give them so much joy. We dedicate this space to all of you whose lives have been changed by animals.

Sage
We first got Sage in February 2024 from the Rotorua SPCA when she was two months old. We called in just as a curious family one Saturday morning – and then the staff brought out this little puppy with the kindest eyes, and made our hearts melt! Next minute we're signing the papers and organising a time to come and pick her up.
Sage is now 10 months old and she has settled in to our family so well. She is super patient around the kids and has a lovely temperament. We feel like she was especially found just for us. Sage has a bubbly personality, loves walks, swimming and going for rides. She fits just right in to our home and family. We love having her and we are very grateful for the Rotorua SPCA for rescuing her.
Thank you to the staff at the Rotorua SPCA for being so supportive and helpful, you are all amazing!
