On an icy cold day, someone was out taking a brisk walk when they spotted a cardboard box tucked underneath a nearby bridge.
Curious, they investigated. Inside they discovered six tiny puppies, huddling together for warmth. They had no food or water, and were dangerously cold.
Thankfully, this kind person rushed the puppies into SPCA. One was exhausted and couldn’t keep his eyes open. Another was so scared, she hid away behind her siblings for safety.
Immediately, the SPCA team delivered to the puppies to the Specialist Puppy Unit. There, they got to enjoy their first bath!
Wriggling, warm and happy, the puppies showed their delight by licking the canine teams faces at any opportunity. After their bath, each one was bundled up in a towel, and cuddled as they dried off.
After their rough start, it was with the loving and support of Kiwis all around NZ that these puppies recovered. They have all been adopted, and are living their best lives in a forever homes.
