Volunteer with us

SPCA's Christchurch Centre is the oldest established SPCA in New Zealand and has been the voice for those who can’t speak for themselves since 1872.

With approximately 40 dedicated staff and over 500 incredible volunteers the Christchurch Centre is also the largest in the Southern Region and works hard to provide support to other centres ensuring better outcomes for NZ animals.

Our Centre’s primary focus is animal welfare, however we also have a small retail shop onsite with 100% of profits going back into helping the animals.

SPCA GUARDIANS AND DONORS

For enquiries about your monthly donations and other donation enquiries, please call our fundraising team on 0800 888 444 or email fundraising@spca.nz.

IN-KIND DONATIONS

If you would like to donate goods for the animals at the centre, such as linen, towels or blankets, they can be dropped to our centre during opening hours.

If you would like to donate items to our SPCA Op Shops, please drop these off at your nearest op shop.

If you have furniture or bulky household items, please call 0800 77 22 26. Our truck service team will be more than happy to arrange a suitable pick up time across Christchurch.
