Volunteer with usSPCA does not maintain an adoption centre in Oamaru but we have one full-time animal welfare Inspector who attends animal welfare call-outs in the North Otago and South Canterbury areas.

If you need to report an animal welfare concern about a companion animal, our team will be on call during standard business hours on the number above.
If you have an animal emergency outside of business hours, please contact your nearest after-hours vet clinic.
For any problems with stray, found or lost dogs, please contact the Waitaki District Council.
Please contact the local police for any instances where an animal or person/s welfare is at immediate risk.
