Making a difference in Marlborough

Volunteer with us

The SPCA Centre in Renwick (previously Marlborough SPCA) has been dedicated to caring for all animals throughout the Marlborough region since 1946.

We are a small team with great voluntary support who provide the local community with an essential service, advocating on behalf of animals through education and enforcement when necessary. We do everything we can to ensure all animals receive the love and respect they deserve!

Every year we care for hundreds of lost, sick, injured, abandoned and abused animals from various situations.

Although we work on behalf of all animals, we are also here to serve you, the community of Marlborough.

Thank you for looking to desex your pet.

Making desexing accessible to everyone is important to us. Scientific research has proven that a desexed animal lives a happier and healthier life. They are less likely to get into fights, can be more affectionate and friendly, and have a reduced risk of health issues such as cancer. We believe desexing and microchipping is one of the key ways to improve animal welfare.

We run Snip ‘n’ Chip campaigns for cats across the country at different times of the year. To check if vouchers are available in your area visit https://book.spcadesexing.nz/

For more information on desexing, please visit www.spcadesexing.nz or email snipnchip@spca.nz

Alternatively, please contact your local SPCA Centre for local assistance and advice.
