Introducing SPCA Treat Week

SPCA today launches a brand new peer-to-peer fundraiser, SPCA Treat Week. Replacing our heritage fundraiser known as Cupcake Day, the new and improved event gives people the power to choose the way they fundraise, with added flexibility in response to significant lifestyle and workplace changes in a post-Covid world.

Everyone's idea of a treat is a little different, so animal lovers are encouraged to celebrate Treat Week their way! Whether it is making something delicious and selling credible creations, hosting a social event or movie night and selling tickets, or organising a fundraising morning team for your office or classroom – the options are endless.

However supporters choose to join in, there is one thing that each individual fundraiser will have in common: every amount raised will go directly towards the work SPCA does helping vulnerable animals that come into our care.

Getting involved couldn’t be easier – simply head to treatweek.spca.nz to sign up by creating a fundraising profile for yourself, and a team if you plan to fundraise as a group. There are loads of resources on the website to help inspire people while planning their Treat Week activities, and when ready, fundraisers can share their profile link with their network to start raising money for animals in need!
